The Personal Coaching Craze

One of the hottest movements in the country today is Personal Coaching. Sometimes know as “Success Coaching,” because that’s what it is, a system to help individuals gain the skills they need to become successful and achieve their personal goals more rapidly than they ever thought possible.

This Personal Coaching movement is based on simple logic – why spend years of study and endure painful (and expensive) trail and error experiences, when a Personal Coach can just hand you these skills in a few quick sessions? In fact, almost anyone you ask who is truly successful will tell you a story about an influential person in their lives – a mentor or coach – who powerfully impacted their lives with sure-fire skills, strategies and philosophies for success that helped shoot them to the top. They will tell you how, without these skills, they would likely have faded into obscurity and mediocrity. But their special coach provided them with the tools of success and they have reaped an outstanding quality of life. But what if you haven’t run into one of these rare people? Are you just out of luck? No! This is where Personal Coaching comes in. Finally the average personal can get access to this wealth of special skills with proven results with just a small commitment of time and a willingness to make a small investment in themselves. Personal Coaching allows you to just pick up the phone, setup a weekly time to meet with your Coach, and begin learning cutting-edge tools and strategies that can make an amazing difference in your life both personally and professionally. Personal Coaching is also referred to as “Life Coaching” because Coaches also deal with life issues as well. A good Coach can help you develop increased self-esteem, reduce stress/anxiety, improve relationships, learn how to be assertive, communicate better, improve social skills, create a life-direction, and much more.

A great many top level executives know about Personal Coaching (for many it’s how they got where they are), but until now, its been largely a secret know to only the select few. Now, for the first time, the average person has access to Personal Coaching and can have this powerful advantage as well.

So what’s the best way to select a Personal Coach? Keep it simple, look for credentials and experience. Did you know that about half of all Personal Coaches are Licensed Therapists? A Coach with a therapy background can best help you with personal and professional elements that require psychology, like assertiveness training, confidence, people & relationship skills, selling, food issues, and more. Next, look for experience. Does the Coach have a business degree? Have they ever started or run a business? Have they been a Supervisor who hires and trains employees? Have a conversation with the Coach, discuss your goals and ask them how they can help you achieve them.

Finally, remember what Einstein said, “The level of thinking that got us to where we are, won’t take us to the next level.” Clearly, Einstein knew that everyone needs help to go to the next level.
